The 产科 and 妇科 is actively involved with teaching and research activities and provides general obstetrical and gynecological clinical care to a large number of patients from the region. Subspecialty services in maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology and gynecologic oncology are provided by faculty with special qualifications and experience in these areas. The annual number of births at 美国儿童 & 女子医院 is nearly 3,000. The hospital has also been designated as a tumor treatment center by the State of 阿拉巴马州.

Substantial numbers of oncology patients receive care here, in close cooperation with medical and radiation oncology personnel.
